With views onto historic palaces and the three great bridges crossing the Forth, this 29th section of St Ninian’s Way starts from the centre of Linlithgow and proceeds go west along Royal Terrace and over the railway line (700 m). Go north to High Street (100 m), then left for 100 m, then turn right onto St Ninian’s Road for 1 km. Great views of the loch and Linlithgow Palace. Turn left onto Mill Road for 300 m where it joins the John Muir Way. Follow the John Muir Way to Bo’ness and along the coast to South Queensferry.

Here St Ninian’s Way joins St Margaret’s Way for scenic and mainly coastal paths to St Andrews.
